Norlee Group, a portfolio company of Norwalk, Connecticut-based private equity firm Heartwood Partners, has completed its acquisition of IEM Electric, Inc., an industrial electrical contracting firm headquartered in Hickory, North Carolina. The transaction closed September 30, 2026, according to an announcement released October 5, 2026.
The deal marks the eighth add-on acquisition for Norlee Group, underscoring the company's ongoing strategy of expanding its footprint in the industrial electrical services sector through targeted bolt-on transactions. Private equity-backed platforms in the specialty trades space have increasingly pursued such consolidation strategies to build scale and geographic reach.
